Dear Zane, First off I would like to say you are a amazing author and I love your books. Ive been reading your Emails from fans for awhile and you give really good advice. So I decided to give it a try. Ok Im 23 and Ive been dating my 24 year old Boyfriend for about 8 months now. It was good at first but now hes really been getting on my nerves. He constantly ask me for money that I barley have and when I dont have it he wants me to ask my family.. Ugh its a constant thing its everyday all day. He has family that stays here and he doesnt ask them. It pisses me off to the point were I try to avoid him or dont answer his calls.. Its kinda hard to do because we stay in the same apartment complex and his house is not far from mines. It bothers me a lot to the point were Im cussing him out and calling him names. It hurts his feelings cause hell ask me why am I talking to him that way and by his facial expression. And then he will try and act extra nice to me. I can tell he really cares for me because he acts obsessed with me (in a good way) he will blow my phone up all day and all night especially if I dont answer. And he does things for me almost anything if I ask him (Clean my car, rub my feet, cook for me....) And things like that. But I just cant take him begging all the time?? What should I do.. Its a new year coming in and I need to make some changes. Please help.. Thank you. MY RESPONSE: He has set the tone for this relationship. You are a young lady trying to make ends meet and you cannot afford to take care of a man. Even if you could, I would not suggest it. Not even a year in and he is sweating you for money. The foot rubs and car washes are not an equal trade off if he is bothering you for money. You are right. It is about to be a new year and now is a good time to reevaluate your worth and what you are doing. There are worse things than being alone for a hot minute and a man being obsessed with a woman is not cute. I have some friends twice as old as you or older who think it is a testament to their womanhood if a man is acting bat crazy over them. I disagree and he may not even be all caught up in you like you think. Men know that some women get turned on by being made to believe that they are irreplaceable in their lives. If you break up with him, he will probably have another chica chilling on his sofa within two weeks tops, maybe less. Go ahead and toss him back. This sounds way too emotionally draining. Just my opinion.
