Dear Zane I strongly believe when our kids are doing well and is on the right path we have to praise them. Zane I have a 12 year old boy who is doing exceptionally well at school. He just wrote external national exams to go to high school and did exceptionally well (in my country they must write an external exam to decide which school they will attend). He got very good scores and is going to one of the top high schools. He also got awards for the different subjects area. I am extremely proud of him. This child have had to survive so much over the past few years (including a bitter break up with me and his dad) yet he was determined to persevere in his schooling. There were days that he would break down silently just so that did not place a burden on me. I did all I my power to get us both help to overcome. Zane I am so very proud of him. Currently I am trying to push myself forward and is pursuing my masters in order to give him and myself a better future. Since the breakup it has been up uphill battle financially but I understand that this is life and I will do whatever it takes to get my feet off the ground. Thing is he has ask me for a Playstation 3 so that he can enjoy over the summer after all these years of hard work. Zane he has never ask me for anything much since he understands our situation. I really want to give him this. However since I am at school myself, I cannot readily afford him one. Do you know of any organizations, places where they can assist with this request or even anyone with a used one and do not need it anymore that my son can use? Any assistance will be appreciated. Please keep me anonymous for the sake of his identity. Mother to an intelligent loving boy MY RESPONSE: That is great that your son is doing so well and that you are determined to make a better life for the two of you. Since you specified that you live in another country, I have no idea about resources but I tell you what. Write a letter to PlayStation and see if they will send him one. They are only losing about 2% of what consumers actually pay for them and they need to have some kind of community outreach program in place. I hope that helps.
