Dear all, I am just writing to let you know about some training programmes that will be taking place here at NCVS early next year, and which may be of interest to you. · Introduction to Business Planning o Part 1 (5th February, 10am to 1pm), covering: § Explaining the underlying principles behind the information you need to develop your plan § Exploring your business idea in depth § Assisting you in developing your organisation’s vision § Enabling you to articulate your mission o Part 2 (12th February, 10am to 1pm), covering: § Explaining all of the operational aspects of your business such as staffing, premises and finances § Exploring the legal requirements of your business such as insurance, tax and licenses § Assisting you in undertaking a risk analysis § Enabling you to use a comprehensive business planning template to ensure you have thought of everything · Outcomes and Impact Measurement o Part 1 (19th February, 10am to 1pm), covering: § Looking at the differences between Outcomes, Outputs and Impact § Exploring your mission, values, objectives and activities § Introducing you to outcomes based reporting methods o Part 2 (26th February, 10am to 1pm), covering: § Working through an Impact Mapping exercise § Introducing various Impact Measurement tools, such as SROI, Social Accounting and Audit, Prove It and Improve It § Exploring which of these tools might be right for your organisation All these sessions are free of charge and tend to be popular, so please book early to avoid disappointment!
