Dear all I hope you all had a very great day celebrating the International Women day on 8th March 2014. Hereby these are the highlights of the International Women day held in Antwerp, Belgium on 8th March 2014 under the initiation of NRNA Belgium Women coordinator Yasodha Thapa and ICC NRNA Deputy Women Coordinator Rajani Pradhan. The program was hosted by The NRNA NCC Belgium. NRNA Belgium President Mr.Prem Gurung, advisor Mr. Yubraj Gurung, ICC members Shiva Baruwal ,ICC member Janakee Gurung , advisor Sita Sapkota and advisor Nanda Gurung , Vice president Sharada Aryal , Deputy Treasurer Renu Gurung and Ex- ICC member PG Sherpa were present. There were many participants of women presidents and representatives from different organizations. The discussions were carried out in the following aspects; 1) Formation of women forum 2) Charity projects 3) Women rights in Nepal in upcoming constitution of Nepal. 4) Preparation for Regional womens conference in Spain An advisory committee for women forum formed. All past and present NCC women executive members, presidents of women organization and active members from regional NCCs were included in the committee. Coordinator of the forum is the NCC women coordinator, Yasodha Thapa. Ex- woman coordinator of Belgium Lila Sharma Manadhar, Ex- NCC executive members Anita Lama, Anuja Pradhan, Junu Niraula, Devi Gautam ,sarswoti subedi, Muna Rai, Nima Sherpa and Bishnu Gurung were nominated for the advisor. And also Sushma Bhusal, Iswora Sharma, Kalpana Magar, Isha Gurung, Nirmala Bajgain, Muna KC , Muna Tamrakar, Joan Thapa, Rita Pandey, Radha Pradhan, Prabina Gurung, Laxmi kuinkel, Meena Khadka and Sushila Parajuli were nominated as advisor. In the honorary member, the first lady her excellency Mrs. Anita Pokhrel has been nominated. The following are the members; Ambika KC, Anita Sharama, Richa Gurung, Saeeta Subedi, Sushila Khatiwada, Tika malla, Laxmi Kandel, Prativa Sapkota, Lila, Tara Amai, Kanti Adhikari, Sabitri Kandel, Jaya Gaire, Himani Neupane, Tara Rimal, Chandani Bhujel, Bishnu Pahadi, Saila, Krishna, Dil Maya, Bimala Malla, Geeta Prasai, Dina Bhusal, Sharmila Sharma, Sajani Sapkota, Indira, Krishna Neupane, Chitra Gurung, Sajana Joshi, Nita Karki, Kalpana Ghimire, Adina KC, Archana Shrestha, Preeti Shrestha, Durga Aryal, Muna Aryal, Ranjana Simkhda, Kalpana Simkhada, Gyanu Baruwal, Madhara Gurung, Durga Manandhar,Sunita Shrestha, Shova Gurung, Raina Basnet and Yogita Thapa. There will be more names included in the coming days. A Women welfare charity project - 1 Eur/ month is launched. 25% of the fund will be used in the NCC as emergency fund for women victims 75% to be send to ICC for women welfare fund.
