Dear all, I returned to Nepal on 23 July after successful participation in the Honorary Consuls’ Conference of the Republic of Estonia followed by a brief tour of Europe. The visit was 26 days long and remained immensely pleasurable as well as memorable. The Honorary Consul’s Conference turned out to be a great learning experience of Estonia’s development, especially in the fields of IT, trade and tourism. We were honored and privileged by the gracious presence of President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves himself in the conference, and were left equally inspired and energized by a one-to-one meeting with the ever so young and dynamic Prime Minister, Taavi Rõivas. We also earnestly enjoyed the presence of Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship Minister Anne Sulling during the deliberation of the conference. The meetings we held with His Excellency the President, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and Hon. Ministers were of the most charming and insightful. The conference also presented a unique opportunity to meet the many Honorary Consuls and their family members from various countries in one place and to exchange ideas and forth. On the sidelines of the event, I took time to meet up with many of my old Estonian friends. It was like recreating our best moments again! After a short visit to Estonia, I then traveled to other parts of Europe: Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Luxembourg and Germany. I thoroughly enjoyed the second leg of my journey, and absolutely cherished every opportunity to visit my European friends along with Nepalese living in different parts of Europe. I remain ever obliged to them for their warm hospitality and courtesy. I would like to take this moment to convey my heartiest thanks and gratitude to all of my European and Nepali friends & relatives for your kindness and your big heart.
