Dear all, We are looking to recruit a 0.6FTE Communications Officer post to support the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy at the University of Leeds. Margo --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are looking for a talented and highly motivated communications professional to join the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. CCCEP is a joint research centre of the University of Leeds and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Bringing together some of the worlds leading researchers on climate change economics and policy, its aim is to advance private and public action on climate change. Working closely with CCCEP’s management team and the LSE-based communications team, you will help develop and implement the Centre’s impact strategy and its associated annual impact and communications plans by: (i) supporting and developing activity which promotes a continual two-way dialogue with research and non-research communities; (ii) facilitating extensive engagement with wider audiences; (iii) facilitating intensive engagement by the Centre’s researchers; (iv) facilitating formal engagement with decision-makers and other stakeholders and (v) facilitating informal engagement, by building on the extensive network of contacts that have been developed to date. The role will include developing key messages from each CCCEP (Leeds) research project and working with the researchers to communicate them effectively through a broad range of media, including CCCEP’s website (news stories, working papers), special publications (briefing notes, policy briefs), academic publications and mainstream and social media. You will also provide support for the wide range of events CCCEP (Leeds) hosts, from expert workshops to large public debates and academic seminars, taking a lead on promotion including where relevant, media coverage. In addition to coordinating CCCEP (Leeds)’ external communications, you will ensure that communications across the CCCEP (Leeds) and between CCCEP and the wider University, support and promote CCCEP’s work.
