With cheerful disposition I make friends easily and thrive in challenging situations as it allows me to use my pragmatism and analytical skills to manage them effectively to achieve constructive results. As an honest Nepali, I believe in action rather than speeches and do not believe in giving false promises. As an Ex Gurkha, in Civvy Street, I now own the Gurkha School of Motoring and work as an Approved Driving Instructor for all categories including B-CE, DE, which are highest in the field. With a wealth of knowledge in the field of Driving/Motoring/Traffic systems, I am always ready and eager to share relevant useful information to the Nepali community in UK and around the globe. Almost every Gurkha will also be familiar with my active and dedicated involvement in the Gurkha justice campaign as well as Gurkha settlement rights since its early days, of which I am very proud. Furthermore, I have gained membership/advisory roles in various UK-based Nepali organizations. I believe that democracy; hard work and education are instrumental in order to move forward in life. You may have heard that NRN UK is going to hold its 6th AGM and Election on the 15th of September 2013. I feel that I am the most deserving candidate of President NRN UK in this Election because since its inception, I have held every post of NRN UK National Coordinating Council as follows: 1. Registered member since NRN was founded 2. Executive Member 1 term 2007-09 3. Treasurer NRN UK 1 term 2009-11 4. Vice President 1 term 2011-13 5. My dedication to the roles I have undertaken is also reflected in my attendance of all National, International and Global meetings and conferences, to explore and support NRN net working campaigns. Now, it is time for me to take the leadership of NRNUK so as to fulfill the following responsibilities. My key objectives during NRNUK Presidency will be: 1. Actively support and achieve positive conclusion to Gurkha settlement right campaigns. 2. Strongly support and achieve positive conclusion to the Gurkha Pension case. 3. Support the Nepal House Project –a building in the UK to promote image of Nepal, which was initiated in the past. 9. I would like to initiate the Grass root level outreach program so that all UK-based Nepalese will feel ownership of NRN UK. Without their collective support we cannot claim success. 10. I would like to initiate Registration of all Non Resident Nepalese in UK, free of charge, just like in any other voting system, which is £10 at the moment for every 2 years, requires unnecessary documents and isn’t popular. Currently serving as the Vice President NRN UK, I hope you will also feel that I am the most eligible candidate of President NRN UK 2013-15 with the best-prioritized goals for all UK-based Nepalese people’s betterment. To fulfill all of the above goals, I need your continuing support, which you can demonstrate by voting for me.
