Dear all my friends, colleagues, and partners, Kindly be informed that the recent incidents in a few Vietnam industrial zones were caused by only a few individuals with highly questionable motives. Such isolated incidents have been contained within hours. They are NOT, by all means, representative of Vietnamese peoples relationship with people from other nations. Vietnamese are known for being friendly and hospitable to foreigners in our country, and I assure you we genuinely are. Vietnam government is working closely with affected companies and individuals to ensure security and protection. The fact that we are peacefully and non-violently protesting against Chinese GOVERNMENT for violating Vietnam sovereignty with Haiyang Shi You 981 oil rig does not automatically make Vietnamese people hostile to Singaporean, Taiwanese, Hongkongese, Korean, Japanese, not even Chinese citizens working in our country. Vietnam always welcomes international investments, tourists, and we appreciate the expatriate communities here. This sensitive time may lead to misunderstanding, mistrust, and possible misinformation on the news. I hope we retain open and honest communication with one another to clear the doubts you may be having. Its still business as usual today. Peace.
