Dear all, particularly voters in St Peter Port Guernsey. Andrew ONeal has persuaded and proposed me to stand for the office of Junior Constables in the Parish. Douzainier Neil Foreman has kindly agreed to second my nomination. I hope to work closely with Neil on a pragmatic and realistic approach to refuse collection and recycling. We are all for recycling but it must be understood particularly in urban areas with flats, no gardens poorer accommodation a one size fits all approach will not work. I also hope to bring fresh thinking and new approaches to the role so that we can move on from the perception of everything being tun by the Old Guard in the interests of their mates (however unfair this perception might be). I hope to bring clarity and opacity to the role having been uninvolved in the issues that have divided the Douzaine. The post is heavily contested which is a healthy sign of democracy so every vote counts. Traditionally canvassing is not in the ethos of the position. So enuff said!!
