Dear all, this is likely to be the last I will mention of either my dad or mom on FB. At least concerning their passing. Dad in January. Mom today. Its been an unbelievably sad few months in my life. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the well wishes. How much I appreciate the FB messages, the emails, the phone calls. You all are some pretty great people. Some of the stuff I share on FB surprises me. I really am a pretty quiet and private person. But it seems many of those things that make me sad, I blab pretty easily on FB. Maybe because I know a number of you, to one degree or another, personally. Not sure really. At any rate, I just wanted to note that while I am indeed very sad, sadness is not something I can dwell in. I am typically a stupidly happy individual. I found much to smile about and be happy about today. I’ll find more tomorrow. I’ve never had the time to dwell in sorrow. I hope I never find that time. The next week will be busy and sad, as I once again pack up another home, placing memories in boxes and saying good-bye with each item. But they will be good days also as I will be caused, as I pack, to touch on cherished memories and times. At any rate, I just wanted to say thank you one more time. And to thank those of you who have contacted me directly to express concern. I’m going to be all good. My wife, Zenya Rene Peterson, is a rock for me. I’m not sure I’d be standing as upright as I am were it not for her. As tough as I might fancy myself in rough situations, without her, I may well be in the fetal position right now.
