Let the leader do what he promised instead of making stories at the beginning. If he do bad things, then stand against it, talk against it and if he make the same mistake again and again you have all the rights to send him back home. Because no matter how powerful the leader is, no matter how good he was, if he cant address issues as they arise, if he become drunk with power or if he do things against democracy, people will ignore him.
