Dear colleagues and great OOUites, we have come to very troubled - TopicsExpress

Dear colleagues and great OOUites, we have come to very troubled times and so we need to be calm. We have been manipulated from every angle and again we need to be calm. Gov Amosun has ordered the closedown of our great institution making use of the one week he asked for to devise his plans. Right now, no protest can hold as security men have conglomerated at all our campuses including Abeokuta. He has also ordered the arrest of our student leaders, leaving us helpless. The governor and his cohorts have won in that regard! But you see, the governor has decided to use the media against us, thats our terrain my colleagues! His commissioner for education has said all sorts to draw the publics attention on the students. Now, we are not going to sit and watch him win on both sides. The social media is our territory! I implore you as matter of necessity to take to the social media. Facebook, Twitter, IG radio stations, TV and what have you! Let us hit the media non-stop! We know the initial reduction was done to score political points against the next year elections, we are going to use that against him! If you know the immense support OOU students gave to have him in that office, then youll understand that WE can pull this through! Amosun-must-go is the anthem, Dare to struggle is the theme. Tweet your frustrations at @Govsia, bombard his Facebook page with well constructed threats! Show the public how he reneged on his promises. We have a voice, we cannot get silenced. In solidarity we storm the media, do your part and Ill do mine. Education is a right, not an opportunity. Pls Rebroadcast this to all OOU students, its our time, its now or never!
