Dear fellow SFBAC chapter members, Our bi-annual chapter board - TopicsExpress

Dear fellow SFBAC chapter members, Our bi-annual chapter board elections will be coming up in late May. Voting will conducted anonymously online (instructions to follow as we get closer). Nominations are due before May 15 and should be emailed to me. Election results will be announced at our Annual General Meeting on June 1. Our chapter really needs your help! Please consider running for election and becoming a board member! It is a wonderful way to give back to the chapter that does so much for us, as well as our students. You would also be part of our dynamic, fun team that works so well together! All positions are open. You may nominate yourself or another member. The positions and incumbents are below. I am listing the positions that will be vacant first. You can find specific job descriptions on our bylaws page at sfbacnats.org/bylaws/. Vice President, Programs: VACANT! Sue Field will be stepping down after holding the position several times. This is an important job and is vital for our members and students! Please volunteer! Recording Secretary: NEED! Jennifer Cowgill Sandusky would like to step down after having served for 2 terms. However, she will remain in this position until a new secretary is found. Please volunteer! President: I will run for my second term as your president. I have been a board member for 8 years (6 years as VP, Recitals). Our bylaws state that officers will offer their resignations after 4 terms (8 years) of service on the Board, which resignations the Board may accept or reject. I complied and the board unanimously voted for me to run again for president. Please feel free to nominate others. Vice President, Recitals: Katie Tupper will run again for her second term. Vice President, Singing Festival: April McNeely will step down after serving as Festival Chair for 8 years. Alexandra Mena will run as co-chair, to share the position with someone else. The festival has grown tremendously and keeps getting bigger every year. This position is most likely best shared by 2 people. In addition, we need a strong festival committee, with different people in charge of the tally room, judges, accompanists, door monitors, food, etc. Please consider being a co-chair of the festival and/or joining the festival committee. The festival is only possible with a lot of people helping together. Webmaster: Justin Montigne will run again and would like to run for another position as well (see below!). Correspondence Secretary: Justin Montigne will run for Correspondence Secretary, besides Webmaster! Alexandra Mena will step down and take on a bigger role with the festival. Treasurer: Lee Strawn will run again for his second term. Membership Secretary: Frank Ryken will run again for his third term. Newsletter Editor: Alison Collins will run again for her second term. Please remember that all positions are open and nominations should be sent to me before May 15. I will be contacting some of you to see if you can help. Please give back to your chapter!
