Dear fellow translators, I wanted to know your opinion about - TopicsExpress

Dear fellow translators, I wanted to know your opinion about something a colleague of mine told me today. She claims it is not a good idea to put a list of companies youve worked with, nor references from your clients on your websites as other colleagues might steal them from you by offering a lower rate. I have never considered this option. From my point of view, having a list of some of my projects can attract new potential clients who happen to find my website. Personally, if I looked for a translator, Id prefer to see a list proving the person I want to do business with is qualified/experienced. Same for the positive references your clients write for you. (PS: I do NOT have my prices listed on my website.) What is your opinion on this subject? I will be very grateful for any remarks/thoughts/comments.
