Dear fellow wedding professionals, today I had an experience Im sure everyone of you had been through (come on, at least once, this has happened to you, too): 10 AM, I was having coffee with friends, chatting about unimportant things (hablando mierda en el Versailles, pa los cubanos) when a lady called me at 11 AM with THE question: at what time you plan to show up? As you imagine the first answer is bu-bu-but when? at what time is the ceremony? (trying to see if I can make it) , but then she said: noon, at the Brazilian Court, Cecilia XX, where are you? I had to say the truth (then, when I knew there was no solution to this problem): Im sorry but I dont have it in my Contract File, neither it shows in my calendar. After that, more details upon request. My point and advise: Let your potential client that THERE IS NO AGREEMENT until both of you have hard copies of such agreement, showing acceptance from both, you and the client. I probably am partly (not the main responsible, but still hurts) to blame for the misunderstanding. Have a great Sunday. Unfortunately I dont have a gig today, which makes the case even more painful.
