Dear friends, Thank you all for creating Lads Law! We did it! As of now, we have 1, 059 signatures and you made it happen! This will help ensure that no animal be hurt or tortured - no abuse to our animals! We had such an outpouring of love worldwide ... For Our Lad - this is how we started but every animal deserves to be loved and protected! Now, that Lads owner, the accused, has been let out on bond of $1,000..... It is important that we send our Petition for Lads Law to The Governor of Kentucky to pass a law.... Before Matthew Beauchamp has his trial! He faces the possibility of serving between 4 - 6 years jail time and $10,000 fine! We must make sure that justice is done, that an example is made ....... For everything that Our Lad has gone through! The neglect, the malnourishment, and the horrific act of his owner, the monster, the accused Matthew Beauchamp ...... For shooting this precious puppy in the face and the jaw and putting him in a pick up truck an dropping him somewhere on the side of a road in Kentucky to die! Our brave boy lay like that for 6 days until he was found and brought to The Arrow Fund - on as scale of 1 - 9, 1 being near death.... That was the condition Our Lad was in! He was in terrible shape - lost his teeth and almost his whole jaw but he showed us how much he wants to live! Now because of our love and prayers, the Vets in Kentucky, our donations, Pilots N Paws who arranged the transport to California and for The Davis Institute who will reconstruct and make him a new jaw - using bone that will be re grown eventually - OUR LAD will be whole again and never suffer, not even for one moment! If Lad could talk...... As trusting and affectionate as he is, the kisses would never stop! Friends, thank you again..... For Lad and for all the other animals who have no voice! Evey Segal Stein
