Dear friends and colleagues, We wish you a wonderful start to 2015, and would like to remind you of the approaching deadline for the ISSP International Masterclass. Applications are open at isspmasterclass until January 15 ! Commencing in March 2015, the ISSP International Masterclass is a year long practice-based education and networking programme for emerging photographers. The masterclass will run yearly from spring to spring, offering two thematic classes with some of the greatest tutors we have ever worked with. The programme consists of three workshops in Kuldīga, Latvia and Braga, Portugal and continuous feedback in-between, allowing the participants to develop conceptually strong artistic and documentary projects. Classes for 2015/2016: Aaron Schuman - “Labyrinths: Exploring Photographic Paths” Yuri Kozyrev and Andrei Polikanov: Beyond Photojournalism. Invited external experts for Spring 2016 - Jörg M. Colberg (Conscientious), Ann-Christin Bertrand (C/O Berlin) and Jim Casper (Lens Culture). Applications are invited from both self-taught photographers and recent graduates from academic programmes, who have experience in pursuing extended projects and wish to take their work to the next level. 24 participants will be selected based on the applications.
