Dear friends and family. Many of you were surprised that I recently opened a face book account. No hell is not freezing over, but rather after some serious thought and consideration I have decided that I would attempt to use a Face Book account as a way to encourage you, my friends and family to become more politically active and aware. I don’t think that I am any more crazy or psychotic than I used to be, but I have come to the conclusion that one of the few things I can do is to share what I learn with you all and encourage you all to become more aware and active in your political surroundings. Many of you know that politics is a little more than just an interest for me. While I don’t expect that many of you will develop the same passion for politics that I have, I do hope that you will come to see how important it is for us as members of our communities to be politically active and aware in local issues. During the last presidential election I asked my brother if he had voted and he made the comment that he would start voting when his vote counted, I was dumb founded, almost speechless. I can’t believe that he does not realize that during an election you vote for more than who you want to be president. You vote on state and local leaders as well as state and local issues. Because he was caught up in the idea that it was all about the stupid president he gave up his voice in his state and local community. The Federal Government is steadily growing and gaining power which it will never willingly give up because of people thinking as my brother does. This is what I hope to help change.
