Dear friends, first let me apologize for such a long post. You see, I am in a new season in my life. I am homeschooling my 3 children and it has been great, but that means I have had less time to do cake orders. When I do have orders, it takes away from my job as a stay-at-home mom and our homeschooling. I have had to put a lot of their needs on the back burner when I am in my kitchen for days at a time. This business has been my priority and focus for so long that I feel I am missing out on so much of their childhood. They wont be young forever and they deserve my best. I am blessed to have a hard-working, supportive husband who provides for our family so I am able to be home with our kids and right now they need me more. So it is after much thought, prayer and a battle within myself as to what I need to do, that with a heavy heart I announce Simply Sweets by Lindsay will be closing. ALL ORDERS ON MY CALENDER WILL BE FULFILLED. If you have spoken with me regarding an order and have NOT paid your retainer, I will not be able to take on your order. This page will remain open as a hobby, just for fun page and I still have orders on my book that I will be posting pics of as well so I hope you will continue to follow along. It has been a fantastic 5 years and I am so grateful for all those I have met and become friends with along the way. Without God, my family and you, none of this would have ever been possible. You have followed my journey, supported me and shown love and kindness by praying for my dad who went from stage 4, inoperable lung cancer just 9 months ago to being CANCER FREE today! I have made some very fun cakes and some cakes that were definitely a challenge, but the end result was always the same; accomplishment and happy customers! I have always learned with every order and for that I will be forever grateful! ATTN: CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE ORDERS ON MY CALENDAR: I have a handful of orders remaining this year and a handful in January as well as a few in the summer of 2015. I will continue to stay in communication with those who have standing orders and will contact to confirm as it gets closer to your event date.
