Dear friends, it is my sad duty to inform you that my mom has passed on. I thank you all for your well wishes and prayer in these past few months. Mom fought many health battles in her last few years: brain rumors, heart attack, stroke, colon cancer aloof which she overcame. Unfortunately this last bout with pancreatic cancer spread to her liver and spine, she fought valiantly for the last year but could not win. She was a great influence on me, my family, and everyone she touched and I know that she touched the lives of many people reading this. She will be missed by all she served in her cities, Rotary, P.T.A., school board, chamber of commerce and St. Francis Hospital Board. Her life was devoted to her family and the service of others. Family and friends will be received at Hickey Funeral Home, Mass at St. Donatus in Blue Island, Interment at St. Benedicts in Blue Island. Thank you all again for your many prayers for Mom and our family. I will post time and date for wake and funeral.
