Dear friends – Barb was transported by Sarasota Memorial Hospital to the Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville Florida on Friday 10/18. A surgeon there, Dr Pirgousis, has agreed to be her doctor and will present her case to the Tumor Board Tuesday morning to consider all options. Once a plan of action has been determined, Dr Pirgousis, will perform the surgery to remove the tumor from inside her mouth on Wednesday. She was feeling pretty bad as earlier in the week we could not find a surgeon in Miami or Tampa that would attempt the procedure but she now has hope once again. I want to thank all of you who have visited the cancer fund site set up by Kathy Stehman DeHaven. (Thank you Kathy) We have fallen behind on all our bills as both of us have missed a lot of work in the past two months and even with insurance the medical bills are piling up and are going to be very high. Most of all I want to thank everyone who has expressed their love and said prayers for Barb and I. Barb has been touched by every one of you. Please keep the prayers coming.
