Dear lovelies: Please, please, please do your best not to drive tired. Its not as much of an issue on the way out to Burning Man, but the way home can be dangerous. Folk have been in the dust for days, then sat thru a long exodus, and want to get to a shower/food/job/some place with vegetation. But driving tired is really, truly dangerous. I know its dastardly tempting to try to push thru it, but just takes one moment to turn into catastrophe, and youre not just putting yourself at risk. Suggestions: Have a non-primary driver pilot the vehicle thru exodus, so the driver can hopefully nap, or at least be fresher than otherwise. If you have an RV, bus, or other thing that might allow traffic neighbors to nap during exodus, consider keeping your bed clear to do some good deeds. Take advantage of the sleep points that are offered on the way out. Be aware of your own state if youre driving, and passengers, take good care of your driver, be it pampering them or reminding them that switching out or taking roadside naps are a-ok. Have a great burn, and a safe and leisurely trip home.
