Dear members, I have just been alerted of an exchange on social media regarding a post that seems to have touched a nerve. May I just say that firstly, the code of ethics is to be abided by, by ALL members, including admins that are here only to moderate the site. When posts are off-topic, then those posting are politely requested to take them down. It is unfortunate that in the wake of the greatest massacre of our wildlife in recent history, we still find time to waste attacking groups and forums and individuals and personalities in a bent effort to promote our own initiatives and in the process discredit others. This is why conservation continues to fail. Why cant we all live with our differences and accept we may not have to like each other or each others pages, but that those pages are vital to collaborate and spread information. Kenyans For Wildlife is exactly that, it is a forum of EQUAL opportunity where everyone is as important as each other regardless of their background or expertise in the field of conservation. Everyone who has participated in this forum is a conservationist in their own right (those refuting this please look up the actual definition- it says nothing about academic requirements nor field experience requirements). Once again, I welcome each of you to continue using this forum to spread information and views on conservation related matters primarily focused on Kenya, and note that no one is forced to stay on this site, or to join. Those unhappy are free to leave the forum but it is only civil to do so without feeling the need to discredit it just because there has ben a lack of understanding of the core basis of the forum herewith outlined in the code of ethics. ( on.fb.me/1p6z5Sc ) Asante for being a part of K4W, and look forward to more activities and information sharing in the coming months. Pamoja.
