Dear one pissed off mother!!!!!, I read your letter and I weep, for you, your children and the future of this world. You are correct, there are many things that you’re autistic neighbor with never be able to experience and you’re correct, his mother will not be alive for ever to take care of him. Who will take care of him? I hope amazing nurses, social workers and caregivers filled with love and compassion will care for him. The reality is he will most likely experience heartless, compassionless monsters posing as human beings. They will blame him for their own miserable existences and abuse him to make themselves feel better. They will scream about how him and his family feeling they are “entitled” to special treatment and that they are selfish and lazy, etc. All the while demanding special treatment that they are “entitled” too. Sound familiar? That’s exactly what YOUR letter said. You are a cruel and heartless woman and you are teaching your children to grow up the same way. You are telling your kids and anyone else that sees this letter that anyone with a handicap is less than human and should be treated as such. With your words, you are cultivating the next generation of haters, abusers and murderers. There is so much more I could say, but I am overwhelmed with grief in knowing that this is the reality that we live in and that there are so many soulless individuals in the world that are continuing the circle of hate and abuse. The worst part of this is that YOU KNOW what you wrote was wrong and did it only to hurt your neighbor and make her cry. YOU KNOW you are wrong and a horrible person for writing this letter. If you really felt justified in what you wrote, if you really believed you were right, you would have signed your name instead of hiding in the dark, whispering behind your blinds.
