Dear people, I would like to ask your attention for the following: Writer Bogdy Kladnik and his son Pan started a kickstarter campaign to raise money to be able to get his book printed called “Shaolin Monastery- cradle of Zen Buddhism”. The proceeds resulting from this campaign go to re-building/improving the Orphanage connected to the Monastery. You can read more about this on: kickstarter/projects/1814475327/shaolin-monastery. The motivation for my appeal to you good people is the fact that we all had different motivations for embarking on our journeys as martial artists. It might have been that you liked a particular style or maybe you wanted a well-rounded way of getting into shape, maybe you only wanted to learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones…. But the one thing all martial arts training has in common, the thing that binds us all, is that it builds character. You develop character traits that will help you in other areas of your life too. It fundamentally affects your morals and values. To these particular character traits of your personalities I would like to address the following request: I have put my story as a martial artist to video, and you will find it is the same story as so many of you in one form of another. On that video you will also find more information about the book and campaign. I hope you will watch it, feel a common bond and find a way to contribute to making this project a success!! Maybe you are in no position to invest at the moment( all small amounts help, though), but please at least find it in your heart to SHARE and help give it the attention it deserves. Children are not only the future caretakers of this beautiful planet we live on, but also the next generation to pass on their morals and values….lets send them a message they will take to heart and pass on.
