Dear precious friends and family. I know that many of you have been praying for me already and oh how I appreciate that! I would not be here today without those prayers. A week ago today I was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer. The doctor wanted to start chemo on Monday of this week. During the treatment my abdomen was swelling hugely and obstructed my airway and the ammonia in body was very high which caused three blood clots in my left lung. I was sent to the Emergency Room and I truly did not think I would make it that night. I was hallucinating and very disoriented. My blood pressure shot up over 200/100 and my body was in distress. My sister was there and prayed for me and my Pastor came and prayed with me also. I was admitted to the hospital through the ER and had to spend the night there because there was no room on the hospital floors. The next morning they drew 4 liters of fluid off my abdomen and gave me blood thinners in my stomach. I lost 9 pounds from the removal of the fluid. I was in 4 different rooms in a 24 hour period because of the hospital being so full and finally made it to the Oncology floor. This morning I was feeling much better and the doctor released me from the hospital to go directly to the Chemo Clinic for another round of Chemo. I was there until 5:30 this afternoon and am finally at home. I am still pretty weak and am having some nausea but otherwise I am doing ok. I will have chemo every other week for three sessions. I know that the Lord was with me because I could feel his presence. Its going to take a long time but with God as my helper and my healer, I will make it through. Because of my dearly beloved friends and family praying for me! I am extremely weak and it will take a while for my body to heal. God Bless each and every one of you Forever and for Always!
