Dear residents of Aurangabad East Constituency, I consider myself fortunate to have had an opportunity to interact with you over past dew days due to the election campaigning. I could exchange few words with some of you while with others I could connect through your eyes and understand your emotions. As I attempted to capture my thoughts and feelings in my diary, a vivid vision of faces and events unfolded before my eyes. This city and every individual living in it – from the young to the old, without giving consideration to cast or religion, has given me so much love and affection over the years that it is impossible for me to repay back in any form. During the campaigning I realized, that my opponents took great interest in me as an individual rather than spelling out their future plans and concerns for this great city. Rather than exuding positivity to the electorate, they channelized their energies on negative aspects. It is for every individual to conclude whether what my opponents have said is true or not. Before approaching you I have prepared my performance report that was sent to you and asked myself whether I have the right to ask for your vote again. At the same time I prepared the agenda and vision for this city for the next five years. I have laid all these points before you, and I have no words to express my gratitude to the response given by you in return. The election campaigning has now come to an end. I seek your forgiveness if during this process I have caused any hardships due to my actions or activities. I want to reassure you that never in the past have my family or I taken any action that would break your confidence in me and I give you my word that the same will never happen in the future.
