Dear rude lady at Price Cutter in Nixa....just because I used a WIC check to buy a gallon of milk does not mean that you need to tell your 12-14 year old daughter that I am a delinquent who is too lazy to get off of her butt to support her family. I actually am a foster parent to two young children who have been in the custody of the state of Missouri for close to half of there lives. You are right, I do have a beautiful ring on my finger and did go out into the parking lot and climb into a nice car. Things that my husband and I work hard for each day. I hear comments from people about how much money I make fostering and how nice it must be to get free baseball tickets and cheap Silver Dollar City tickets. It is absurd to think that a single day pass to an amusement park will make up for the trauma and pain these two children have had to endure. I think that they are entitled to have a few good things in life thrown their way. Very proud of myself for biting my tongue and not stooping to her level in front of her child.
