Dear sir/madam, We are the students of Govt. Engineering College, Bikaner. Our college is in top 5 Government College of Rajasthan including IIT,Jodhpur and MNIT,Jaipur.We have a very big problem about our college and future of all students of our college.There is too much politics in our college including the faculty members. We are discussing about this problem because you have attachment with general person and after understanding the problem you can help us to save our future. Matter is that our Principal sir Dr. H.P. Vyas (EX-DRDO Director, SSPL, Delhi and an International Scientist Served in USA for 16 years) has resigned due to politics pressure of our Education Minister, Rajasthan. He told in interview with “Dainik Bhaskar” Newspaper that a telephone directive received by him from a man name “Vishnu Goyal” From Education Minister Office, Rajasthan. Dr. H.P. Vyas clearly said in his interview that He didn’t accept the demand of Minister for appoint two person of him as guest faculty because they were not eligible for the post. After that Mr. Vishnu Goyal called him to give resignation and He sent his resignation on 22 september,2014 to the Technical Minister, Rajasthan. Before H.P. Vyas sir , our college condition was very bad. Here are some main problems which are following:- 1. Our College is totally financed by the fees collected from the students of the college. About 83% of this money goes toward paying the salary of the teaching & non-teaching staff and then a large Percentage of remaining goes in paying bills like electricity, phone, university fees to be paid by the college so there is no money left for development of our college. 2. There Laboratories have Equipment which do not work and if they work then teacher do not explain experiments properly. 3. There was no pure water for students while faculty members were order pure water campers from outside sellers. 4. A large no. of Faculty members have gone for higher studies either on half or full salary. Not onece but many of then have gone twice for first doing M.tech. and then Ph.D. 5. The number of Non-Teaching staff is around 500 people which more than double that is required .so large amount of money is wasting to pay them their salaries. 6. No company showed its interest to hire students. Many more problems are included in documents which are enclosed. Dr. H.P. Vyas in his 8 months tenure has tried hard to change the situation in way that benefit of our studies:- 1. he solved the Drinking water problem in the college. 2. The guest faculties was relived during summer month and re-hired only in required number which is about 2/3 of the previous number. 3. He convinced the government to send the faculty members for higher studies only once and not twice as has been the practice so far. Many more problem’s solution By H.P. Vyas sir are included in documents which are enclosed. Without Vyas sir the future of students is in danger. This is very critical Situation for all the students.
