Dear teen librarian, Please take pity on us. My children came to - TopicsExpress

Dear teen librarian, Please take pity on us. My children came to your teen activity today. I stayed upstairs(please take note!) so that they could enjoy the craft and snacks. My daughter, who is 19 and technically a teen, came up shortly after the program started, in tears, because you told her she was too old for the activity. She is small in stature and developmentally delayed, so I am sure no one really noticed she was older than the other participants. When I came downstairs to reason with you, I was still in a fairly good mood. Before I could even explain, you gave me a stern lecture as to why I was not allowed downstairs( I was not a teen and if my teens needed me they knew to come upstairs to me). I understand your point, but please give me time to explain mine. Surely parting with one more cupcake and some duct tape wasnt going to put you over budget. And just so you know, my other daughter took pity on us, and when you werent looking, snuck a duct tape flower pen up to her too old sister. Sincerely, A mom who sometimes thinks its okay to bend the rules a little
