#Dear_Mr_President, While most of us are worrying about the safety and security of our love ones who were victimized by catastrophic #Yolanda (#Haiyan) , the least that we wanted to hear from you, is to point finger and criticize the lack of readiness of people from affected regions. And you specifically mentioned #Tacloban. How insensitive of you. Why, Mr President? Do you have any #concrete_plans in the first place? Do we have enough #satellite_phones deployed per Region, at least one each? Do we have #dedicated_shelter_homes that are #shock_proof and #water_proof at that? #Tell me, Mr President, how on earth shall we prepare for a #Super_Typhoon_Category 5 / #Storm_Signal 4? Did you take the effort and explain in pure laymans term what #STORM_SURGE is all about? As simplified in pure waray-waray, LUNOP!!! We saw you visiting our province. Fine! We saw you personally distributing relief goods. OKAY! Fine (pun intended) But we also saw you #blew_your_top and made uncalled for remarks to your government officials. Definitely not fine!!! And yeah, #YOU even #walked_out when you were not pleased with the reports. #Walking_out_drama- which was later denied by your palace officials. Talk about damage control here, huh! I was reared and trained not to walk-out on any problem but to approach it head on. I guess this is one classic trait of Waray. We are courageous! #BASTA_WARAY_MAISOG!... Walking out is cowardice! Ironically of all sorts, it is in this Province, #LEYTE, where #Martial_Law is suggested. Leyte, the home of the #Romualdezes and #Marcoses. Did it #IRK you, Mr President, even just a tiny little bit? #Thinking about #politics, still? Oh dont get me wrong. I am in no way suggesting that Region 8 be under Martial Law! #Hell_no! What we want from you, Mr President, are #faster_decisive_actions. Faster than a speeding bullet. And please, no photo-ops! Ten Thousands or more are feared dead! Survivors are dying, finding every means to survive! Looting malls ( #Gaisano and #Robinsons), stores and homes; destroying ATM Machines, robbing travelers, mobbing relief operations. And heaven knows what will happen next! This anarchy that we, as a province are facing right now, will not stop us from reaching out. Unlike you, we will not walk out on this, Mr President. Never! ~~~ We accept all types of help for our town, #Abuyog Leyte and for neighboring municipalities of #Javier #MacArthur #Mayorga #Dulag #Tanauan These coastal towns, as of this writing is still in total darkness and no means of communication. There were reports of deaths by the hundred, lining up the National Highway. People have to travel to Baybay, Leyte or to #TaclobanCity just to get a telco signal. No food. No potable water. No shelter. No medicines. Let us help #Leyte and #Samar! My friends and my family are seeking aid and relief for the victims of Yolanda.
