Dearest Friends, Thank you to each and every one of you, who have supported The Station and The Depot, over all these years - since 1996 - Yikes! We have had some amazing times! Thru laughter and a few tears, we have made beautiful memories together. I have so many wonderful moments that flash in my mind, as I reflect back. My heart is so full, and I feel so very grateful that I had the chance to meet all of you and make so many incredible friendships, that will last a lifetime. Since Steve’s passing, three months ago in October, I have used the time to grieve, pray, contemplate, and listen. In some ways, moving thru the grief, has been even harder than Steve’s illness and passing. And yet, what has sustained me and helped me move forward, are all those beautiful memories and moments. So thank you. I know there has been much speculation about the future of The Station, so I thought it appropriate that you hear it from me, that I have decided to close the business permanently. It is not the ending I had in mind back in 1992, when I first purchased the abandoned Iron River Train Depot. But I also never imagined meeting someone who I would fall in love with and share my dream with. It is said that there is a time and season for everything - and that’s how I feel about the business - it is time. We did our very best and I am happy about that. So, I’d really like to take The Station out on a high note. I spoke to our house band “Crossroads” (Charley, Dan, & Kevin) and they have agreed to come and play one more time. This will happen next Friday, January 31st, 2014. The bar will open at 6pm and the band will begin at 8:30pm. If you can make it - it will be great to see you - one more time! You can bet there is gonna be some drinking, dancing, laughing and storytelling! Oh - I almost forgot - it’s also Allyson’s birthday! So let’s celebrate - one more time! Thanks for the memories.
