Dearest friends near and far, The tragedy that occurredin Waukesha, WI over the weekend is one we surely cannot wrap our earthly heads around. But no matter our unanswered questions, we all can relate in one unquestionable way: our hearts break for these three young lives and their families. If you are like me you are wondering if there is anything you can do while you grieve for them. Please see the attached letter from a loving mutual friend. HEARTS FOR HEALING “Perhaps everything terrible is, in its being, something that needs our love” ― Rainer Maria Rilke As a beautiful and vibrant twelve-year-old Wisconsin girl struggles for vitality and to reclaim her childhood, a campaign is underway to help her and her family to both heal and meet the financial burden of this tragedy. Background: On Saturday morning, May 31st a twelve-year-old went into the woods in Waukesha, WI to play hide-and-seek with two of her friends. Merely a lure, the two friends stabbed her 19 times and left her for dead. Remarkably, she crawled to a nearby street and was found by a passerby, who contacted the Waukesha Police Department. She sustained stab wounds to her arms, legs and torso and is currently at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and is currently in stable condition. The attack was premeditated and encouraged by dark readings on the Internet. The two that are responsible are now in custody. Now, as the child and her family struggle to begin the healing process, we, as a community of friends, must hold them in the embrace of healing prayers and all encompassing love. Love for the young girl, her family, and indeed, all the children involved. United in prayer, let the darkness be dispelled, may LOVE permeate all minds and hearts. How you can help? Extend blessings and love to the victim and her family by sending a homemade purple heart (her favorite color) made of paper, fabric, felted wool. As you make your heart, infuse it with your prayers, love and light. These hearts will blanket the walls of this 12-year-olds room, and send her a nurturing message. Be a part of surrounding her with beauty and love so that she may be reminded that the power of love is greater than all else. We can also offer much-needed assistance in helping to meet the mounting medical and legal bills that can weigh so heavily on the mind, further burdening the family. The current medical costs of ICU at the hospital are growing each day and there is no way of knowing, what lies ahead for this family. Your donation will help. Send Your Hearts To: Hearts for Healing P.O. BOX 407 Waukesha, WI 53187-0407 Make a Donation: Donations can be made online at the following gofundme/HeartsForHealingWI or go to any local BMO Harris Bank and donate to The Hearts for Healing Fund. May our love illumine all hearts and minds. P.S. Please sharing this letter with your friends and family via Facebook or other means.
