Dearly beloved, the Bible says “And let the peace from Christ - TopicsExpress

Dearly beloved, the Bible says “And let the peace from Christ rule in your hearts to which as one body you were also called. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15). We live in a world where silence is gradually eluding us. Noise has become the order of the day thus the loudest voice holds value. With the noise all around us, we lack peace and the capacity to listen to the voice of the Spirit speaking in us. Sometimes our emotions can be just as loud. We can be quiet on the outside, but inside all sorts of things are being said and stirred up. But the peace of God is still, quiet, restful, and soft. It always sides with God’s will, not with me or anyone else. It is not trying to be the loudest person in the room, nor is it trying to win just for the sake of being right. The peace of God wants to rule in our hearts so that we can win in our lives. When negative emotions are talking loud, raising it’s voice trying to get a response from us that goes completely against God’s Word, we must learn to look to peace. Peace will tell us, “Don’t say that”, “Don’t go over there”, “Be patient”, “Listen to what they are saying”, and “Relax, God has it under control”. No matter how we feel, God needs us to receive and walk in His peace. Peace in your heart doesn’t necessarily mean peace in your circumstance. But if you had to choose, which one would you prefer? Wisdom knows that any peace that is going to come to a situation will begin first with peace ruling in the hearts of those involved. So join me as I pray Heavenly Father I love You. Thank You for teaching me to let peace rule in my life. When my emotions get loud and try to win in my heart, help me Holy Spirit to listen to Your peace and let it rule. Quiet my soul and bring to a state of rest and harmony with Your will in Jesus Name
