Death is serious, eternal business. Once our physical hearts beat for the last time, we will instantly find ourselves either in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in all His splendor, or in the pit of hell away from His presence. It is important to point out to those with ears that hear that simply knowing who Christ is and what He did is no great accomplishment, even satan knows this. The true knowing transforms the believer into the changed life that seeks to do the will of God, denying their will and desires for obedience to the One who paid the full price of their disobedience (sin) toward God. If you say you know Christ, but continue in your disobedience, as if it were no great thing, unrepentant and unchanged, I point you to the warning of Christ in Matthew 7:16-26.
