Debbie Graham posted this story to my wall yesterday. I was so emotional about it I couldnt share it yet. This dog was neglected and likely abused by his owner. Oscar is a senior boy and based on what I saw in his eyes he had a terribly difficult life. I was contacted to see if I could come meet him to see if I could help. I was told he wasnt really adoptable and as soon he was legally released by the authorities he was going to be humanely euthanized. I missed the message on my phone for a few days and got it late one night. I was physically ill thinking I had failed this dog and he had been put down. I was so happy to get to meet oscar the next morning. He was a hot mess for sure. He was still a skeleton and had chewed off huge bald spots on his body. But as you know Ive pretty much never met an unadoptable animal :-) So after some legal nonsense with his owners who demanded their property back, I was able to get him on to his new life. Sarah Stowe-Gillespie fostered oscar until transport to his wonderful rescue near Chicago. LOOK at him now! My heart is filled with happiness for him. Thank you everyone who helped him on his journey
