Deborah Horst Prout this article might explain our lilies. They are pretty but short lived. I will put mine in the garden at the end of summer. Asiatic lilies bloom only once during the season. They have about a 2 to 3 week bloom period. Leave the stems standing until fall when they turn brown and you can cut them back. The lilies will come back next year and bloom again. There are early-, mid- and late-blooming lilies. You can add some different varieties to your flower bed for continued bloom.almanac/plant/lilies
