December 30, 2014 Moment of Grace 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14 & 15 Why do we go through such tests in relationships? Even best of friends and family experience the pressure of disagreement, failure or saying something that should not be said. How do we go forward? 2014 has many a scar where unwanted hurt happened… even accidentally the scars can happen. How do we heal? Jesus gave insight into the power of love manifested in one of the greatest words I know, “FORGIVENESS.” Forgiveness is not just for the one who caused the injury but for us that were injured! We are set free! Doesn’t 2015 need to be started with the best we can be? Shouldn’t we start out a new year with a fresh- healed heart? Love uses forgiveness like a healing balm…. Our own sins weigh us down, right? Isn’t it a new joy to know that Father God has paid the price for us to be forgiven? Yes! PRAYER: Father God, I stand amazed at Your Words, “You are forgiven!” How can You forgive someone whose sin crucified Your Son? Thank You for not only saying those Words, but proving those Words… over and over again to me. Lord, I forgive all those who have sinned against me… just as You have forgiven me.
