December1: Presents/gifts/treasures of life. Met an 89 year old woman yesterday in the grocery store. A sweet precious lady who comes often into the store to just get out. She loves to go by the dairy and get her daily hug from him. I had to laugh because there are so many people. that come to this grocery store, for just this reason. She just beamed with joy, about getting this special hug.. NowI learned from my tour around the store with her that she has two sons. But her sons dont have time for momma. Thanksgiving came and went, and she was alone. How sad not even a phone call for momma from her boys! really folks???? Where are we as Americans and people? No time for those t hat loved and nurtured us???? Really. Was going somewhere else better than returning to someone who has weathered many storms with you, and for you. That waits longingly for that connection with you. You have no time? Why We talked for awhile and she said her one son called her saturday afternoon saying he wanted turkey dinner with all the trimmings. And she said I gathered up all my pennies and had a friend drive me to the store, they want food. They want! really? Dies mommas wants and needs not count? Her time clock is ticking LOUDLY. Where are you? She got to the register. A register a few over, and didnt quite have enoufh pennies. My heart broke for her. God tells us what we do to the least of them, will be done to us. THINK. I MISS MMY MOTHER. AND THERE WASNT ANYONE SHE WOULDNT TAKE UNDER HER WING. SHE LOVED PEOPLE. SHE LITERALLY GAVE OTHERS T HINGS SHE TREASURED SO OTHERS MIGHT HAVE. Tell me when you finally stand before God, what will you say to our Lird about your life? How will you answer when He asks what He already knows...How did you spend what I gave you.? Did you honor your mother and father? Were they too, treasures to you?
