Declaration (written in the third person) by Mr. Carlos Antonio - TopicsExpress

Declaration (written in the third person) by Mr. Carlos Antonio Palad, member of both the old (pre-Jan. 5, 2014) and current (Jan. 12, 2014 - present) Board of Societas Ecclesia Dei Sancti Ioseph, and member since November 2011 of the International Council of Foederatio Internationalis Una Voce. *** On June 8, 2010, the International Council of Foederatio Internationalis Una Voce (FIUV), headed at the time by Mr. Leo Darroch, upon the request of Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph through Mr. Carlos Antonio Palad, granted membership to Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph with immediate effect. In 2011 the name of the group was changed by the then-Chairman Mr. Dennis Raymond Maturan, to Societas Ecclesia Dei Sancti Ioseph or SEDSI. This was only a name change but was not held to constitute the formation of a new or separate society. At the end of December 2013, due to various internal concerns, Mr. Maturan announced that he was stepping down as Chairman and indicated Mr. Carlos Antonio Palad as Officer-In-Charge of the Society, Mr. Palad being a member of the International Council of FIUV since 2011 and re-elected in 2013. This move, which was accepted by the Chaplain of SEDSI, Fr. Michell Joe B. Zerrudo, and of the rank-and-file membership of the same Society, can be verified from social network postings made by Messrs. Maturan and Palad. (Images of the postings may be supplied upon request.) On January 12, 2014, in accordance with the bylaws originally submitted in 2010 to the International Council of FIUV, upon the motion of Mr. Palad, an absolute majority of the sworn members of SEDSI gathered in a meeting to elect new Officers. Mr. Gerald Emmanuel S. Cenir was elected Chairman. With this, Mr. Cenir now heads what is currently the ONLY Philippine member-society of Foederatio Internationalis Una Voce. Mr. Palad declares that he recognizes in the Societas Ecclesia Dei Sancti Ioseph as headed by Mr. Cenir, the same and sole Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph for whose admission into FIUV he had worked for in the year 2010. This declaration is posted without in any way casting aspersions upon the intentions or labors of any other group, and is intended solely and only to clarify the continuity between EDSSJ and SEDSI.
