Decommissioning process moving ahead By Pat Faherty The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has accepted Duke Energy Florida’s updated plan for managing the spent fuel at the Crystal River Nuclear Plant and its associated costs. The NRC notified Terry Hobbs, general manager of decommissioning, on Dec. 19.
