Dedicated to my PR friends While accepting a Diwali gift this morning from a PR friend on behalf of her client, few random thoughts traversed through my mind, which were inspired by my wife, who worked in the PR industry in the past. What a thankless job these guys are doing! Throughout the year, we are mostly dependent on them, for a major chunk of our `journalistic` achievements. But do we really thank them as much they deserved? Ever? It could be debatable but in my opinion, NO. We dont thank them, we dont wish them and we dont treat them the way we expect from them. In New years, Diwalis and other many an occasions we accept gifts from them, moreover expect gifts from them, but, my circle may be small, I have never come across any occasion where we media people present a gift to our friends in PR. Lots of disparity and hypocrisy in the claimed era of `equality`. Isnt it? Well, Ill take this opportunity, of the time of Diwali, the time of prosperity, to wish my friends in PR a very happy life. Though it may sound occasional, Ill always be thankful to them. Wish you a very happy and delighted Diwali.
