Deep Green Resistance stands in solidarity with all those - TopicsExpress

Deep Green Resistance stands in solidarity with all those suffering from recent police brutality and dehumanizing protocols - especially in St. Louis County. And RIP Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, Renisha McBride, John Crawford, Yvette Smith, Eleanor Bumpurs, Trayvon Martin, Aiyana Stanley-Jones, Tarika Wilson, and countless others. We are fighting back, with you in our hearts. DGR is organizing material support and on-the-ground solidarity in Ferguson, MO, where ongoing police brutality by racist officers is ongoing (some of them no doubt actual KKK members or fans). State repression against effective activists is to be expected, but the level of cruelty and the obvious white supremacy towards People of Color in Ferguson is indicative of systemic racism as well as fascism. Solidarity is our greatest weapon! Resistance is Fertile! DGR has a People of Color Caucus, and we are recruiting. She was cornered in a vehicle and shot in the face this week with a beanbag round by an officer. She lost her left eye in the incident. Her father, Donnell Conners: “I understand they have a tough job, and I understand it was chaos, but there was no reason to fire upon an innocent person sitting in a vehicle. Photo One: Here is a photo of Veterans For Peace member Russell Johnson being arrested at St Louis City Hall on Wednesday. He is a Navy vet with full disability. When police gave the order to disperse he turned and started walking away. He is on blood thinner and had no intention of risking physical confrontation. Police moved past several white people to grab him from behind, knock him down, cuff him and drag him away. The process gave him a dislocated shoulder and docs at VA say he is likely to need surgery. This is not the rule of law. ~ from a DGR Member who is also a member of VFP News stories documenting these incidents: washingtonpost/opinions/eugene-robinson-dehumanizing-ferguson/2014/11/27/1f2883a2-75b9-11e4-a755-e32227229e7b_story.html kmov/news/editors-pick/Pregnant-woman-loses-left-eye-during-protests--284108551.html damemagazine/2014/08/18/black-women-are-killed-police-too deepgreenresistance.org
