Deepavali Week Starts: Let us make this Diwali a special event: Clean: Let us start by cleaning our homes this weekend. At least get a cleaner in :) Cleaning our home gives us an inner satisfaction and happiness. Decorations: Diwali is all about lights! Make simple divas. Don’t forget the Rangoli which adds the joy of festivity. Add some flowers to brighten up rooms Gifts: Small gifts for everyone in the family. It could be as simple as books for kids or a sweet thank you to your spouse show that you appreciate them. Distribute Sweets: Diwali is mostly about sweets distribution. Share with friends or family :) Donate: Donate unused toys or clothes that we find while cleaning our homes. This will put a smile on someone else’s face :) Family Time: Take the day off if possible! Share your early childhood memories of Diwali with your children. Puja: I like to do the Lakshmi puja in the evening! Each family has their own custom. We should teach our kids our customs. Family Dinner: Decorate your dinner table to look festive with divas and flowers Dress Up: Dress up traditionally and colorfully for the puja!!! But be careful and sensibly dressed while lighting crackers. Take Plenty of pictures to capture the joy and happiness of Diwali!
