Deer! They can really wreak havoc in the garden! There are tons of homemade sprays that you can make to try, as well as sprays and powders available commercially, and you can also try deer fencing (minimum of 8 high) or an electric fence. Another possibility is to plant things (that deer typically stay away from) around and in your gardens to try to deter them from everything else in your garden - plant things like heavily fragranced herby plants like lavender, oregano, thyme, allium (deer dont like the scents of herby plants); or with fuzzy or prickly leaves like lambs ears and sea holly. Unfortunately, what deer dont like one year they may very well try and acquire a taste for another year, depending on how hungry they are! Later on well post a list of plants that have been found to be deer resistant.
