Defendant Hospitalized After Rogue Judge Refused To Hear Case Rogue Mount Vernon Judge, Helen Blackwood Incompetent Administrative Judge, Alan Scheinkman Attorney Peter Davis who was suspended for life by the three rogue judges in Mount Vernon was subject to retaliation from one of those three rogue judges today. In a telephone interview with Straight Talk in Mount Vernon, Mr. Davis stated that he had to appear today at the Mount Vernon Court with a client that he was retained to defend on a felony charge. He appeared before Helen Blackwood, who stated on the record that she was not going to hear any of his cases. Blackwood did not give a reason for her refusal to have Mr. Davis and his client appear before her. According to Mr. Davis, there were no other judges available in Mount Vernon for him to appear before. Upon information and belief, the associate judge, Adam Seiden who is suppose to cover for judges when they are on vacation or whenever the need arises, was in the court house, but he disappeared during the commotion. Judge William Edwards was also unavailable and Judge Mark Gross is currently on vacation. Helen Blackwood, Mark Gross and Adam Seiden are the three rogue judges in Mount Vernon who created their own controversial 18-B rules that they used to racially discriminate against black attorneys. Mr. Davis stated that yesterday, August 14, 2013, after a story about the injustice he and other attorneys suffered at the hands of these rogue judges broke in the Westchester Journal News, he appeared at the Mount Vernon Court in an effort to be assigned as counsel to 18-B cases in the court where Judge Blackwood was presiding. According to Mr. Davis, he and at least one other black attorney added their names to the sign-in sheet that is now used as roll call to assign the cases. However, Judge Blackwood skipped over the black attorneys’ names and gave all of the cases she had to assign to only white attorneys. Mr. Davis wrote a letter to Judge Blackwood indicating that she had passed over all of the black attorneys who had followed the proper protocol to obtain cases, on August 14th. The letter was delivered to Judge Blackwood’s Office at the Mount Vernon Court today, Thursday, August 15th. After Judge Blackwood received the letter, it is believed that she decided to retaliate against Mr. Davis and his client. However, Judge Blackwood’s retaliation resulted in Mr. Davis’ client suffering an epilepsy attack and had to be taken to the hospital. Since Judge Blackwood refused to hear Mr. Davis’ cases, and no other judges in Mount Vernon were available, Straight Talk in Mount Vernon has learned that a judge was called from the New Rochelle Court. That judge from the New Rochelle Court came to the Mount Vernon Court around 5:30 p.m. The court’s normal closure is at 4:30p.m. This means that overtime had to be authorized for all of the pertinent court staff for more than one hour. The conflict that has embroiled the Mount Vernon Court has been ongoing for several years now. The Administrative Judge of the Ninth Judicial District, Alan Scheinkman and other senior level administrators have been aware of this situation for more than a year now and they have all failed to take action to abate this conflict or resolve it. Judge Scheinkman is responsible for the escalation of this conflict in many ways. He has continuously ignored complaints that have been made to him and he has even empowered the offenders to become more emboldened in their bad behaviors. The Chief Clerk, who is the patsy for these three rogue judges have displayed violence and aggression to several individuals, especially other black males, but Judge Scheinkman has failed to remove Mr. Darden. Other lower level black male clerks have had to quit their jobs despite tough economic times where they remain unemployed just to avoid conflict with Mr. Darden. These individuals have been forced to make these desparate choices, even though it meant that they remain unemployed. They believe that it is better for their health to be unemployed than to be subjected to constant harassment. Today, Mr. Davis’ client suffered an attack of epilepsy, tomorrow maybe the client of another black attorney who one of these rogue judges has a beef with will die. Maybe then, Judge Scheinkman would take action to resolve this egregious and disgraceful conduct.
