Definition of grace. Everyone has heard the definition of grace as unmerited favor. I am not sure who coined the phrase or when it was started and while it is true enough it seems to leave so much out. I just came across this definition which I find much more enriching. Grace is Gods free gift of Gods own presence and power. Wow. Doesnt that speak so much more of truly what grace means to have come to us in the person of Jesus Christ. I found it in the prologue to The Dynamics of Grace: Perspectives in Theological Anthropology by Stephen J. Duffy.
