Meatball Hero Sandwich Ingredients: 350 grams ground pork (or ground beef) 3 cloves garlic (minced) 1 pc (small) onion (chopped) 1 pc (small) egg ⅓ cup breadcrumbs 1 tbsp parsley (chopped) 1 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tbsp iodized rock salt) ¼ tsp black pepper 7 pc hotdog buns (or baguettes, split into 2 but not all the way) 7 slices cheese (sliced) 1 pouch (250 grams) Del Monte Filipino Style Tomato Sauce Procedure: 1. Combine first 6 ingredients, 1 teaspoon iodized fine salt (or 1 tablespoon iodized rock salt) and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Mix well. Form every 1½ tablespoons of mixture into balls. 2. Deep-fry until golden brown. Slice each meatball in half. 3. Simmer DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce for 5 minutes. Add meatballs, salt and pepper to taste. Allow to Simmer. Set aside. 4. In each hotdog bun half, place 4 halves of meatballs and 2 tablespoon sauce. Top with cheese and toast for 1 minute or until cheese melts. Cover with another half of bread. Makes 7 servings!
