Delhi delivered to Modi all the seven. In fact, NCR delivered all the eleven. With over 46% vote-share, BJP gained 12% since the Assembly polls held last December. AAP drew a blank despite not only holding on to its vote-share but even adding to it. Congress, from 24% in the December last, plummeted to 15% odd, what the BSP used to draw on an average. And BSP all but vanished with bare 1% vote. So, has the flux ended in the city? Far from it. If the AAP vote symbolises the triumph of incorrigible optimism over experience, BJP vote demonstrates how masses respond to a charismatic leader with a credible track record. The BJP seems to have realised it. Kiran Bedi may recreate the Modi-magic in the Assembly polls for the BJP. AAP, on the other hand, looks busy dismantling itself.
