Democracy School in coming to Wellfleet! celdf.org The CELDF Democracy School teaches citizens how to organize to protect community rights. It is run by the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF), a non-profit, public interest law firm providing free and affordable legal services to communities facing threats to their local environment, local agriculture, the local economy and quality of life. Democracy School explores the limits of conventional regulatory organizing and offers a new model that helps citizens confront the usurpation by corporations of the rights of communities, people and the earth. The school is built around carefully designed reading, clear presentations and group discussions. You will receive a 300 page book at first day. CELDF will teach skills/tools to write Laws, Rights and Charters. I took this in the Spring and I know these people will show us a clear way to help protect Cape Cod’s natural resources and beyond. Meetings are Friday, November 1st from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday, November 2nd from 9am to 5pm in Wellfleet for $125. Please contact me asap, there is room left for this great opportunity!!! :)
